What is the recruitment process

As a small team (~25 folks), it’s imperative that we get to know each other before taking the leap. We want to ensure you succeed in your role within our team. Each conversation (telephonic/video conference) with us will last about 30-60 minutes. Typically the whole process takes between 7 - 15 business days depending on your and our schedules. The process will occur over telephonic calls, so you don’t need to worry about travel.

  1. Setting expectations: This will be a call to understand your profile briefly and determine which role(s) it matches up to.
  2. Content Task: This is a specially designed assessment to understand whether you have the skills to succeed in the Marketing Associate role.
  3. Technical conversation : This will be a call with one of our Marketing Team leaders to discuss the Task and other functional skills you’ll need to succeed in this role.
  4. Culture fit conversation 1: A conversation with one of the other team leaders (outside of Marketing) to determine your fit with the Kraftshala Kode.
  5. Culture fit conversation 2: A final conversation with our founder to determine your fit with the Kraftshala Kode.
  6. Extending an offer: If all goes well, we will extend an offer mentioning the relevant details.

Compensation

  • You should expect 6L - 9L INR / annum as your salary depending on past experience and comfort with marketing strategies, digital tools, growth techniques etc with an 85-15 split between fixed and variable.
  • You’ll work with the marketing head and co-founders of India’s top marketing training platform early in your career.

Role Description for Associate/ Senior Associate - Content and Social Media

What you will be doing

As India’s premier marketing and sales online training platform, we have assembled a bunch of learnings and insights. Your goal is help us leverage social media platforms to drive reach for these learnings by:

  • Creating shorter, easily “digestible” pieces of content that make these learnings interesting, relevant and engaging on any one or more of 3 key platforms- Instagram, LinkedIn or YouTube. Examples:
  • Guiding the video editing and design teams to deliver fresh, engaging creatives
  • Writing engaging copy for our social media handles, websites and other marketing material for Kraftshala
  • Build organic discoverability of our assets through platform specific strategy

Must Have Skills:

  • An ability to quickly understand marketing and sales concepts from different sub-domains
  • A flair for converting concepts into simple and interesting pieces- video scripts, instagram carousels, LinkedIn posts, articles etc
  • An understanding how content travels on any one of the following platforms: Instagram, YouTube or LinkedIn.
  • A structured approach to problem solving, which involves struggling with the problem till you are able to isolate the “Why” before coming up with a solution
  • High levels of learning agility to constantly to learn and adapt to new platforms, contexts and ideas.
  • Ability to see the big picture as well as the easy-to-miss details.

Good to Have Skills:

  • 2-3 years of experience in social media content creation (We are not too fussed about the number of years. Experience is simply a proxy for capability, which is what we really care for)
  • An understanding of

Sales Associate/ Assistant Manager (Admissions) Role Description

What you will be doing

What you will be doing Our programs receive hundreds (sometimes thousands) of admission enquiries every month. As a member of the admissions team, your key activities include:

  • Counseling: A big part of your role will be helping our potential applicants to figure whether (and which) Kraftshala program will help them drive their careers forward. You will be required to build relationships with working professionals and students, understand their capabilities and underlying goals, and help them navigate the application process.
  • Business Development: Another critical part of the role would be to drive preference for Kraftshala amongst current students of our partnering business schools by engaging with relevant stakeholders and developing sustainable partnerships.

Must have competencies

  • High levels of emotional intelligence, in particular empathy and listening ability
  • Willingness to counsel and add value even if the applicant is not likely to become a part of our community

Lead Engineer Role Description

What you will be doing

You will be working on a consumer product made using React.js, Redux and TypeScript in front-end and in back-end we use PHP and GoLang with MongoDB which is used by thousands of India's best business students and working professionals. You’ll need to walk the fine line between simplicity of use and complexity of features and lead a team of front-end and back-end developers defining the technology roadmap. We are working to gamify the learning experience for our users.

Must Have Skills

  • A good to great grasp of client-side frameworks such as React.js will be integral to your success
  • A strong working knowledge of HTML & CSS will ensure that you can create those pixel-perfect pages with ease.
  • Being able to understand & design REST APIs is critical to ensure any reasonably complex functionality on the front-end.
  • Basic knowledge of relational database systems (MySQL/PostgreSQL) or NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
  • A Strong product design sensibilities and obsessive attention to detail.

  • You should expect a stipend of INR 12,000/ month for the internship duration of six months
  • If you are made an offer to join us full time, the joining will be immediate and you can expect a job offer of INR 5-6 lacs/ annum. 1 out of 2-3 interns has historically converted the internship into a full-time offer.

Intern, Program Management - Role Description

What you will be doing

Kraftshala runs training programs for working professionals, graduates, and business school students. As an Intern - Program Management, your goal would be to lead and execute various activities towards an excellent learning experience for our students. If you draw energy and satisfaction by helping people become a better version of themselves and have a knack for problem-solving, this is the role for you.

Managing end-to-end Program Experience

To maintain and further improve our advocacy score of 95% (which has been hard-earned by the team), you’ll act as a Buddy to our students and will be entrusted to deliver an outstanding experience to them by:

  • Ensuring students receive all program, project, other initiatives, etc. related information in-time and in-full
  • Understanding and solving their queries quickly by liaising with different stakeholders, both internal and external, - Academic Team, Product & Tech team, Industry experts, current and ex-students, etc.
  • Coordinating with different teams to ideate new activities that will further improve their experience and executing the same
  • Keeping a close watch on the feedback received from the students on various initiatives and incorporating any changes required to further enhance the experience

Duration: 6 months

Must Have Skills

  • Ability to clearly and crisply communicate ideas, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to be careful and persistent with the work
  • A working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, and Powerpoint) and comfort with the general usage of tools and technologies that support process automation

What you will be doing

Kraftshala runs training programs for working professionals, graduates, and business school students. As an Executive- Program Management, your goal would be to lead and execute various activities that lead to a gold standard learning experience. Program Management

  • Planning activities and resources for incoming batches of students
  • Ensuring students receive all program, project, other initiatives, etc. related information in-time and in-full
  • Understanding and solving their queries quickly by liaising with different stakeholders, both internal and external, - Academic Team, Product & Tech Team, Industry experts, current and ex-students, etc.
  • Coordinating with different teams to ideate new activities that will further improve their experience and executing the same
  • Keeping a close watch on the feedback received from the students on various initiatives and incorporating any changes required to further enhance the experience
  • Work on maintaining and further improving our advocacy score of 95% (which has been hard-earned by the team) and work on being entrusted to deliver an outstanding experience

Process Optimization

While working with a large set of students, student experience becomes a function of the processes designed to deliver it and so, you’ll be

  • Identifying gaps/activities which can be managed more efficiently, designing and implementing processes (including building upon/modifying the existing ones) to deliver an outstanding experience to the students

Must-Have Skills:

  • Ability to clearly and crisply communicate ideas, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to be persistent and careful with the work
  • Working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, and Powerpoint) and comfort with the general usage of tools and technologies that support process automation
  • Empathy and a high Emotional Quotient to actively engage with students, understand & solve their queries
  • A user-focused mindset to design processes and activities to deliver an outstanding experience to all stakeholders
  • A knack for getting things done to ensure timely resolution of all user challenges

Good to Have Skills

  • 1-3 years of prior experience in program management, operations or similar roles (We are not too fussed about the number of years. Experience is simply a proxy for capability, which is what we really care for)
  • A structured approach to problem-solving, which involves struggling with the problem until you are able to isolate the Why before coming to the solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership and drive results to independently manage a set of programs
