What is the recruitment process

As a small team (~25 folks), it’s imperative that we get to know each other before taking the leap. We want to ensure you succeed in your role within our team. Each conversation (telephonic/video conference) with us will last about 30-60 minutes. Typically the whole process takes between 7 - 15 business days depending on your and our schedules. The process will occur over telephonic calls, so you don’t need to worry about travel.

  1. Setting expectations: This will be a call to understand your profile briefly and determine which role(s) it matches up to.
  2. Technical conversation: This will be a telephonic call with our current Marketing team wherein you can expect to be evaluated on your functional skills and other competencies needed for the job (mentioned below).
  3. Task : This is an assessment we have designed to understand whether you have the skills required to succeed in this role.
  4. Culture fit conversation 1: This call will be with one of the other team leaders (outside of Marketing) to determine your fit with the Kraftshala Kode.
  5. Culture fit conversation 2: A final conversation with our founder to determine overall fit with the role and Kode.

Compensation & Benefits

  • You should expect 20L - 30L INR / annum as your salary depending on past experience and comfort with marketing strategies, digital tools, growth techniques etc with an 80-20 split between fixed and variable.
  • You will also get equity worth 6L - 12L INR vested over a standard 4 year schedule.
  • You’ll work directly with some of the most accomplished marketing professionals, both within Kraftshala and our network of CMOs.

Role Description for Manager- Marketing Training

What you will be doing

Training (~75% of your time):

  • Content Development: You’ll be combining insights from your past experience plus those coming in through conversations with our network of marketing/ digital experts to create project charters, frameworks and content pieces, in partnership with the creative team. You’ll need to keep experimenting with new tools and platforms to help our training programs stay up-to-date. Examples of content we create:

  • Coaching: You will also be working with our network of external coaches to help them deliver an ever improving training experience to our students.

Marketing (~25% of your time):

We believe that to be a great training professional, you need to have extensive real world experience that’s relevant and updated for the current times. To ensure this happens, you’ll also be contributing to Kraftshala’s marketing efforts. Depending on your prior experience and interests, you could be working on any or all of the following:

  • Brand communication: Creating brand strategy and communication for the Kraftshala brand and its various programs.
  • Organic Marketing: Implementing and monitoring the best practices in organic to drive discoverability for the Kraftshala website and app across different platforms.
  • Paid Marketing: Strategizing, planning and optimising campaigns along with our digital marketing team to drive growth for Kraftshala across Social/ Display/ Search platforms.
  • Innovation: Developing new propositions/products as Kraftshala expands to different audiences. This would include working in close coordination with the product, sales and student experience teams as you conduct user immersions, craft and evaluate concepts, create communication material, develop content and design product interventions to create an attractive proposition with a stellar learning experience.

To summarise: The learnings which you’ll get through training and speaking to experts on one hand and simplifying concepts for beginners on the other hand will enable you to create and run better marketing campaigns, which in turn will help you train better. This virtuous loop will help you develop into an even more kickass marketing professional within a short period.

Must Have Skills:

  • Substantial expertise in any of the marketing sub-domains. (We are not too fussed about the number of years. Experience is simply a proxy for capability, which is what we really care for)
  • A passion for training and coaching

Digital Marketing Internship, Role Description

What you will be doing

If you would like to become an absolute expert at digital marketing, this is as close to a dream role as you could get.

Digital Marketing (~80% of your time):

  • We generate hundreds of applications every month, and your goal is to take them to thousands, and in some time, tens of thousands.
    • Paid Marketing: You’ll be learning and executing how to plan, execute and optimize campaigns to drive growth for Kraftshala across Social/ Display/ Search. You will be constantly testing, measuring and iterating to improve RoIs.
    • Organic Marketing: You will also learn to implement and monitor the best practices of SEO and ASO to drive discoverability for the Kraftshala website and app.
    • Content Writing: You will also be responsible for writing content for social media, emails and blogs to add value to our users

What you will be doing

As India’s premier marketing and sales online training platform, we have assembled a bunch of learnings and insights. Your goal is help us leverage social media platforms to drive reach for these learnings by:

  • Creating shorter, easily “digestible” pieces of content that make these learnings interesting, relevant and engaging on any one or more of 3 key platforms- Instagram, LinkedIn or YouTube. Examples:
  • Guiding the video editing and design teams to deliver fresh, engaging creatives
  • Writing engaging copy for our social media handles, websites and other marketing material for Kraftshala
  • Build organic discoverability of our assets through platform specific strategy

Must Have Skills:

  • An ability to quickly understand marketing and sales concepts from different sub-domains
  • A flair for converting concepts into simple and interesting pieces- video scripts, instagram carousels, LinkedIn posts, articles etc

Sales Associate/ Assistant Manager (Admissions) Role Description

What you will be doing

What you will be doing Our programs receive hundreds (sometimes thousands) of admission enquiries every month. As a member of the admissions team, your key activities include:

  • Counseling: A big part of your role will be helping our potential applicants to figure whether (and which) Kraftshala program will help them drive their careers forward. You will be required to build relationships with working professionals and students, understand their capabilities and underlying goals, and help them navigate the application process.
  • Business Development: Another critical part of the role would be to drive preference for Kraftshala amongst current students of our partnering business schools by engaging with relevant stakeholders and developing sustainable partnerships.

Lead Engineer Role Description

What you will be doing

You will be working on a consumer product made using React.js, Redux and TypeScript in front-end and in back-end we use PHP and GoLang with MongoDB which is used by thousands of India's best business students and working professionals. You’ll need to walk the fine line between simplicity of use and complexity of features and lead a team of front-end and back-end developers defining the technology roadmap. We are working to gamify the learning experience for our users.

Must Have Skills

  • A good to great grasp of client-side frameworks such as React.js will be integral to your success
  • A strong working knowledge of HTML & CSS will ensure that you can create those pixel-perfect pages with ease.
  • Being able to understand & design REST APIs is critical to ensure any reasonably complex functionality on the front-end.
  • Basic knowledge of relational database systems (MySQL/PostgreSQL) or NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
  • A Strong product design sensibilities and obsessive attention to detail.
